DENVER - August 11, 2008 - The Denver Business Journal has once again named Spinnaker Management Group LLC (Spinnaker) as one of Denver’s “Fastest Growing Companies.” Spinnaker’s results are impressive, having grown more than 330% from 2006 to 2007. DBJ ranked Spinnaker third in its revenue category for growth in this same period. The Denver headquartered supply-chain consulting firm’s historical triple digit annual growth was amplified last year by the acquisition of Atlanta-based Prosero Inc., a well-established provider of procurement materials-management, and logistics outsourcing services. This acquisition further expanded Spinnaker’s client base, geographic presence and core expertise.
Over the past year, Spinnaker has enjoyed increased demand for its services, in part due to a paradigm shift in many leading U.S. companies. Supply chain strategy, technology and outsourcing have not, historically, been viewed as a top strategic priority at most companies. But given today’s economic conditions and increasing transportation costs, companies are embracing a robust and flexible supply chain as a mission-critical tool to ensure profitability and stability in these uncertain times. Another key factor of Spinnaker’s success has been the company’s focus on attracting and retaining the brightest talent across management consulting, industry and academia. The company has grown to more than 100 employees, yet remains organizationally flat, highly agile and singularly focused on the client’s success. The result is a strong corporate culture, seamless internal communication and highly motivated, well-trained employees. “We are both thrilled and humbled by what Spinnaker has achieved over the past six years. We continue to expand our business through the hard work of our team and by providing quantifiable value day in and day out to our clients.” said Mathew Stava, Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Spinnaker. About The Denver Business Journal Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies The Denver Business Journal ranked the companies based on the percentage growth for fiscal years 2005, 2006 and 2007. Each company reported a minimum of nine months of operations in the base year of 2005. Nearly 300 companies responded to the publication’s surveys, and this year’s list ranks companies in five flights, based on total revenue: Flight 5 covers companies with annual revenues of less than $3 million; flight 4, between $3 million and $7 million; flight 3, between $7 million and $19 million; flight 2, between $19 million and $46 million; and flight 1, with revenues exceeding $46 million.
