Spinnaker Donation Helps to Feed Members of Local Community

Spinnaker Donates One Ton of Food to Mid-South Food Bank

DENVER, Colorado – December 2, 2010 – Spinnaker, a global leader in supply chain consulting and  execution services, announced today it has collected 6 pallets of food products in support of a holiday food drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis, Tennessee. The food was collected as a part of a food drive in collaboration with a regional Spinnaker client. Close to 2000 pounds of food will be distributed by the Mid-South Food Bank's network of more than 300 feeding programs in 31 counties in west Tennessee, north Mississippi and east Arkansas.

“This gracious donation from Spinnaker will allow us to impact the lives of hundreds of people struggling to feed their families,” said Susan Sanford, Mid-South Food Bank president & CEO.

“We’re proud of the exceptional efforts of our Memphis area staff and their willingness to give back to the communities in which we work & live” states Jeff Jorgensen, Vice President of Supply Chain Execution at Spinnaker. “In addition to the thousands of items donated by the collective team, Spinnaker has made a monetary ‘matching contribution’ to help the food bank meet their needs this holiday season,” Jorgensen continued.

Spinnaker operates a warehouse / re-manufacturing facility in Memphis and employs 40+ local staff.
