Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine Recognized Spinnaker as a Leader in Providing Green Supply Chain Solutions

DENVER, Colorado – November 8, 2010 – Spinnaker, a global leader in supply chain consulting and  execution services, announced today that it has been recognized as a green supply chain leader by the  Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine for a second time.

The 2010 Green Supply Chain Awards recognize companies that are making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals.  The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services who are assisting their clients in achieving measurable sustainability goals.

Our distribution/warehouse facilities cut their utility bills by 30% through conservation efforts, facility retrofits, repairs & preventative maintenance programs as well as changes in employee behavior. These actions are saving thousands of dollars in operational costs with little very little effort.
In addition, Spinnaker employees support a variety of basic greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction programs from carpooling, virtual work environment / telecommuting and even utilize GHG calculators to assist clients in determining how to route materials throughout their supply chains.
