Supply Chain Veteran Brings Education and Best Practices to CoSEIA Membership
Denver, Colorado –May 11, 2010 – Spinnaker, a global leader in supply chain consulting and execution services, announced today it has joined forces with the Colorado Solar Energy Industry Association (CoSEIA), a state chapter of the national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) to provide its members with supply chain education and best practices.
CoSEIA has brought Solar Energy to Colorado since 1989, and specializes in bringing all forms of energy news, rebates, events, legislation, education and outreach to members. The mission of this organization is to expand the use of solar technologies across Colorado by helping to remove market barriers, highlight emerging trends and improve education and outreach.
“Spinnaker is delighted to join the Colorado Solar Energy Industry Association,” stated Rob Benson, Spinnaker Co-Founder and Managing Principal. “We support the CoSEIA mission of serving Colorado energy professionals and renewable energy users as they promote the use of solar energy and conservation to create a sustainable future. We’re especially anxious to help additional Colorado renewable energy companies improve their supply chains.”
“CoSEIA is excited to have Spinnaker get involved in our organization. We feel providers like Spinnaker add value to our membership by offering new ideas and research on ways to better optimize their operations, which can help make solar solutions more cost-effective for everyone,” said Neal Lurie, Executive Director of the Colorado Solar Energy Industry Association.
Spinnaker recently announced its dedicated Renewable Energy Supply Chain Practice. This new practice delivers supply chain solutions that assist renewable energy clients in designing (or re-designing) an optimized supply chain to take advantage of opportunities for immediate operational improvement, cost savings and support enhanced levels of customer service.
“Spinnaker joining forces with CoSEIA and the launch of our dedicated Renewable Energy practice are both statements of our commitment to helping solve the supply chain challenges that clean technology and alternative energy companies face. A more optimized supply chain allows companies to provide solutions more efficiently and profitably, which can lead to greater acceptance of alternative energy solutions,” Benson continued.
