Spinnaker Hires Supply Chain Veteran, Nick Hamm, to Lead Supply Chain Design Practice
New Hire Strengthens Spinnaker’s Capabilities in Supply Chain Design Services

Houston, TX. March 21, 2017 – Spinnaker, a leading focused supply chain consultancy, announced today that it has hired Nick Hamm as Vice President to lead the firm’s Supply Chain Design consulting practice focused on supply chain design, network optimization, and analytics.

A respected figure in the supply chain optimization community, Nick has led more than 75 supply chain network and inventory studies helping clients to model and optimize their supply chains leading to major improvements in cost, service, and risk mitigation. Prior to joining Spinnaker, Nick was the first employee of LLamasoft and spent 8 years with the leading supply chain software firm in a variety of consulting and engineering roles including serving as the first product manager for LLamasoft’s flagship product, Supply Chain Guru. Most recently, he has spent the several years running his own consulting firm.

“I’m thrilled to join the Spinnaker team,” said Nick. “There is a significant trend where companies are changing from treating supply chain design efforts as one-time studies completed every 5-6 years by external consultants towards developing in-house supply chain design capabilities used to continuously analyze and optimize design decisions as part of a regular S&OP cycle. Spinnaker’s expertise with helping clients deploy integrated solutions will be a powerful asset to make these types of integrated supply chain design solutions successful.”

“Beyond being a top-notch technical expert, Nick brings a really solid perspective on the broader strategy, process, and change management issues companies need to address to truly transform supply chain performance, which makes him an ideal addition given how we work with our clients,” said Spinnaker Senior Vice President, John Sharkey.

Spinnaker has been a LLamasoft partner since 2010. The firm’s Supply Chain Design practice helps companies design and implement supply chain networks that are cost and service optimized while meeting the differentiated needs of varying market segments. Combining deep analytical capabilities with strong market knowledge, the Spinnaker team helps clients from strategy through execution with supporting capabilities to program manage supply chain transformation efforts and translate supply chain design decisions through planning and operational processes.
