Supply Chain Consulting Practice Director

Location: Anywhere in the US with airport access
Job Description


Spinnaker is hiring for multiple roles in our growing supply chain planning systems practice. The Consulting Director provides client delivery and project account management activities for projects services and supports and leads sales activities. Identifies, qualifies and supports the sales efforts for sales related opportunities. The individual will have a deep and broad level of functional supply chain expertise and technical software experience. With an established technical foundation, the person will engage in many critical aspects of the software implementation including analysis and requirements definition, functional/technical design, implementation, team development, sales/marketing activities and business process improvements.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree desired

  • Must have 5+ years of JDA, OM Partners or Kinaxis solutions implementation experience (essential)

  • Business process and industry experience

  • Knowledge of common change management doctrines and best practices

  • Strong written and oral presentation skill

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow a DMAIC process

  • Quantitative and analytical skills (financial analysis, modeling, and statistics)

  • Presentation and negotiation skills (up to C-level)

  • Travel up to 75% based on customer requirements


Practice Building

  • Contribute to the building and expansion of the planning systems practice by managing the development and retention of knowledge and implementation tools to standardize and deliver consulting services

  • Thought leadership through white paper development

  • Development of standardized delivery implementation templates

  • Maintenance of delivery repository for work product and practice aids

  • Support with establishing service offerings (product definition)

  • Provide day to day to support to manage user activities and escalations

  • Support the recruiting interviewing and onboarding process for new resources


Sales & Marketing

  • Support the development of sales and resource-related forecasts and pipelines

  • Lead actual sales interactions with perspective demos

  • Develop service proposals, master services agreements, statements of work

  • Support the development of marketing campaigns and collateral

  • Conduct project tracking and client management meetings


Client Delivery


  • Management consulting services

    • Act in the capacity of a trusted adviser in the service delivery

    • Conduct client process gap and roadmap assessment services

    • Change management and business process improvement

  • Functional and technical software implementation

    • Serve as a subject matter expert of business processes

    • Design documents, implementation methodologies, customer training

    • Deep level of application knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure

    • Solve complex software configuration and design software enhancements
